We use Gmail for email correspondence and these emails are hosted by Google. We do not and will not print emails unless required to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant, or other lawful request for information we receive, or to otherwise protect our rights.
How long we retain data
When you place an order through aandaorchard.com, we will maintain your Order Information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete this information and only for as long as we need the information to fulfill the order and to fulfill legal requirements.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
Payments online go through a third party (Square), and we do not have access to your card numbers. If a customer orders via phone, card numbers are entered into Square, and all payment notes are immediately destroyed.
How we share your personal information
We may share your Personal Information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant, or other lawful request for information we receive, or to otherwise protect our rights.
When visitors leave comments on aandaorchard.com, we collect the data shown in the comments form and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection through the anti-spam service Askimet.
Third Party Analytics – WordPress.com hosts our orchard’s website and uses Jetpack as its general analytics tracking tool (page views/clicks).
Activity – This feature only records activities of a site’s registered users, and the retention duration of activity data will depend on the site’s plan and activity type.
Data Used: To deliver this functionality and record activities around site management, the following information is captured: user email address, user role, user login, user display name, WordPress.com and local user IDs, the activity to be recorded, the WordPress.com-connected site ID of the site on which the activity takes place, the site’s Jetpack version, and the timestamp of the activity. Some activities may also include the actor’s IP address (login attempts, for example) and user agent.
Activity Tracked: Login attempts/actions, post and page update and publish actions, comment/pingback submission and management actions, plugin and theme management actions, widget updates, user management actions, and the modification of other various site settings and options. Retention duration of activity data depends on the site’s plan and activity type. See the complete list of currently-recorded activities (along with retention information).
Data Synced (?): Successful and failed login attempts, which will include the actor’s IP address and user agent.
Mobile Theme
Data Used: A visitor’s preference on viewing the mobile version of a site.
Activity Tracked: A cookie (akm_mobile) is stored for 3.5 days to remember whether or not a visitor of the site wishes to view its mobile version. Learn more about this cookie.
Protect
Data Used: In order to check login activity and potentially block fraudulent attempts, the following information is used: attempting user’s IP address, attempting user’s email address/username (i.e. according to the value they were attempting to use during the login process), and all IP-related HTTP headers attached to the attempting user.
Activity Tracked: Failed login attempts (these include IP address and user agent). We also set a cookie (jpp_math_pass) for 1 day to remember if/when a user has successfully completed a math captcha to prove that they’re a real human. Learn more about this cookie.
Data Synced (?): Failed login attempts, which contain the user’s IP address, attempted username or email address, and user agent information.
Repeat Visitor Block
Data Used: The Repeat Visitor block records page views by setting a cookie named `jp-visit-counter` in the visitor’s browser, which is incremented on each visit. This cookie is stored only in the browser and not recorded in our databases.
Sharing
Data Used: When official sharing buttons are active on the site, each button loads content directly from its service in order to display the button as well as information and tools for the sharing party. As a result, each service can in turn collect information about the sharing party. When a non-official Facebook or a Pinterest sharing button is active on the site, information such as the sharing party’s IP address as well as the page URL will be available for each service, so sharing counts can be displayed next to the button. When sharing content via email (this option is only available if Akismet is active on the site), the following information is used: sharing party’s name and email address (if the user is logged in, this information will be pulled directly from their account), IP address (for spam checking), user agent (for spam checking), and email body/content. This content will be sent to Akismet (also owned by Automattic) so that a spam check can be performed.

Information provided to us is transmitted, processed, and stored in the United States. Data will be collected, processed, maintained, and used subject to this Privacy Policy and applicable privacy laws in the United States. These laws may be different from the privacy laws in your country if you use services on our website from outside the United States.
If you live in California, California law gives you the right to ask if aandaorchard.com discloses your personal information to third parties for direct marketing purposes (we do not disclose your personal information for direct marketing purposes). California law also gives you the right to ask if we sell your personal information to third parties (we do not and will not sell your personal information), and if so (we do not), you have the right to opt out of such sales.

Your data is stored through WordPress’s data storage, databases, and the general WordPress application. They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall. If you choose a direct payment gateway (Square) to complete your purchase, WordPress/WooCommerce stores your credit card data, which is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.
